We dont have a medical field in the Marine Corps. All medics come form the Navy and are called Corpsmen. So look up Navy Corpsman I think their rate is HM.

Corpsmen are designated as HM. With the exception of a few Eagle, GLobe and ANchor (USMC) insignia, they look just like Marines.

The CMB was created during WWII...It's a US Army award and has absolutely nothing to do with USMC/Navy Corpsman

The USMC does use Navy Corpsman, Navy Doctors, and Navy Nurses for their medical needs. Corpsman (HM's) are deployed with Marines for everything from Commo Companies to Recon. The HM's that are deployed with USMC units, are expected to meet, and most times exceed, the physical demands of their USMC counterparts. HM's are expected to "hump" the same gear, not to mention their medic gear, and then be able to perform medical procedures when a Grunt goes down. HM's wear all the same uniforms that the USMC wears, with the exception of the Enlisted Blue Dress uniform. The HM's wear their "crows" (crows are their rank insignia) instead of USMC rank. I have had the privilege to serve with a USMC Reserve unit for the past 2.5 years. Marines treat us like gold.

That is the USMC FMF warfare device worn by HM's that have met the USMC regulations.

For more information about the fields that HM's can go into, check this out.
