So I watched Titanic tonight and cried like a sissy girl as I usually do during such movies. Not because Rose lost Jack, but because it made me really think about what all those poor souls had to endure during their last hours on earth.
But, at the end of the movie I snap out of it when Rose throws that necklace in the ocean. Jack made her promise to "never let go", but he should have made her promise not to be a dumb@ass while he was at it.

It would have been creepy to row back through all the bodies in the water looking for survivors.

Your gay.......
Welcome to Engrish 101. Today we will be learning about the difference between the words 'your' and 'you're'.
Your is used when you are referring to something that belongs to someone else. For example, "Your socks are gay."
You're is used when you are trying to describe a person. This word is used in popular phrases like "you're gay."

I haven't seen that movie since it came out in the theatre (and yeah, I did cry when I watched it). The only thing that pissed me off was Rose throwing that necklace into the sea. That thing could have been sold at auction for millions and the proceeds given to charity. It just seemed so wasteful. Bah! It's only a movie...

And yes, this does mean that hetero women are queer, but that's a good thing.

I really never liked this movie, overrated in my opinion.
The Titanic sinking was more a fault of human arrogance then anything.
There are shipwrecks that were just as bad if not worse, but the Titanic caught the imaginations of the world then and now being "Unsinkable" but other maritime disasters include the Empress of Ireland she went down with a thousend souls in the St.Lawrence from a collision, there was the Halifax Explosian where the Emo and the french munitions ship Montblanc collided in halifax harbor creating the largest man made explosian befor Hiroshima flattening the cities north end and killing, maiming over a thousend people.
The movie was less about the Titanic then I wanted it to be, I expected more it was just a corney love story. I dont mind movies with love as thier theme but this was just your average corney halmark love story with james cameron behind it.
Not really my cup of tea really, still the movie made hundreds of millions, shattered records, has incredible special effects etc. So my opinion matters very little in the grand scheme of things.
the only good thing about that film was getting a gobby in reward for sitting through to bloody thing.
NOW THAT'S ROMANTIC!!!
Violet Fashion by Mindy
11-20-2005, 10:59 PM
But you can thank the efforts of James Cameron. Because of this movie maritime archealogy has experianced a growth in interest and many shipwrecks the world over are being protected rather then looted.

Like most movies, the love story mixed in ruined it. As for the Bismarck idea...that's not bad. I'd go see it. As for Titanic, meh. If I want to see the movie, I'll just look at the actual set pictures I have for 3 hours, and insert my own dialogue. Would probably be more entertaining.

I remember back in 1998, I went to see the movie with a date. She's a bit not emotional. I remember after the movie and after leaving the restroom, she told me that all the girls in there were crying and she was the only one laughing a bit.
And I remember at the theatre, when the old woman dropped the jewel only men reacted: noooo!!!! rofl

Only thing i remember from the movie are flat painted cartoon decorations that vere recognisable even on my 21inch tv with aerial antena... This movie sucks as a sinking titanic...
I will always connect 'Titanic' to that girl Nathalie.
Seen it once. I just met that very cute girl a week before. And the other day we sat in that café and she tells me elaborately the whole story and dialogues in a 3 hour recitation, begging me to see it with her. In my mind i just turned her on 'mute' and thought myself how beautiful she is and how happy i should be. Next day i saw it and 'surprise' it sank with Leo in the end. I just couldn't stand the talkative (24/7) girlie girl anymore and avoided her the next days thinking what she has done to me that i voluntarily watched this movie. (o)(o) : ) 2 months later i asked myself why i did let her go. (o)(o) : ) Y

Titanic is a boring movie.
No explosions, no laughing hero who destroys a whole army just on his own
No "hollywood style" shootings (you know, when someone shoots 100 times at the hero and the hero shoots back just one bullet and 10 enemies are dead) and so on.
How can is movie be a good movie?

Titanic! What a waste of my time! You know, I got hold of a pirated VHS of Titanic from Russia one week before it it the cinemas in Europe. The best thing about that movie was that some Russian student syncronized all the characters by himself. Cate Winslet sounded like a russian transvestite hooker! The *** scene was so fvcking hilarious, I almost pissed myself!rofl

I'm not kidding you now. I have been to russia once . They showed "Biene Maja" one day (Maja the bee?). You could hear a bit of the german voices and dubbed over it was one russian voice for all characters. Sounded like a 50 year old with decades of heavy vodka drinking. It was f*** hillarious hearing maja and willie with the same dark and wasted voice.

Flaws with Craptanic:
1) that porker chick would have survived for like 6 months in that water with all her blubber, while poor leonardo di crappio was all skin and bones. she's a selfish biatch and a ho for bangin him in that car. i'm surprised she didn't eat him while she was at it.
2) oh jack, i have this one thing, this necklace, to remember you by...let's see...i'll throw it in the ocean so some whale can swallow it and shat it out
3) not. enough. poon.
4) the movie was longer than the actual cruise and sinking
5) needed more drunken mexican midgets chasing chickens with hot pokers trying to give them anal ***.
6) see #5, hear me now and believe me later and think about it some other time.

100% correct about LA Confidential. James Cameron should not be burnt just yet, he still has credit for the original Terminator film, Aliens and True Lies. But the next self indulgent wankery film he makes, it's up against the wall for him.

I fully support gazbert on LA Confidential, that was great piece, and Kim there...aah!

But how can you say that?
What determines if a person is wealthy or poor?
A person may lack material possessions but consider themselves very wealthy. Especially when it comes to intellectual thought and free thinking that they may well consider themselves to be very wealthy.
It is you my friend who is poor. But do not fret as salvation may soon arive.
