In one of the many quirks of the complicated U.S. immigration rules, someone who crosses illegally, manages to get 100 miles beyond the border and stay undetected for more than 14 days cannot be subjected to Expedited Removal and is entitled to make a case for staying on to a judge.
WTF????

Exactly, up here right now some of the criminals are bitching that their rights are being violated because the prison installed new security camera's in certain areas. They shouldn't have any rights other then to be someones bitch.

It's about time, we're tired of all illegal people in our country.
I remember seeing this issue in the news. It showed dozens of illegal immigrants willing to be captured because they know that they'll just be released and given a note that tells them to show up in court on a certain date. They never show up.
I'm sick and tired of hearing of bulls**t form people in the government that we need to step up our homeland security, but look at what we are doing right now. They never bother to look at south of the border. There need to be less talk and more action!

They never bother to look at south of the border. There need to be less talk and more action! The contituencies behind the Republicans [who are addicted to cheap labor that is not apt to complain about working conditions] and the Democrats [who are in favor of getting more people addicted to government handouts in order to enhance their re-electability] would just as soon not do anything about illegal immigration.
What little they've done to curb it is only begrudgingly. The fact is, it can be drastically reduced if sufficient resources are devoted. Grassroots pressure on the politicians must be constant and firm. Here are a few links:

This is how I see it.
If you're an illegal imigrant in the USA and you are caught, you should have the following choices:
* Be fined $10,000 (or the max you're carryig) AND dropped off at the border
* Go to Iraq and kill 10 terrorists (Green card)
* Go to Iraq and kill 100 terrorists (Automatic US citizenship)
* Go to Iraq and kill 1000 terrorists (Citizenship for entire family and a medal).
That's fair :)

It's about time, we're tired of all illegal people in our country. Now you know how the people of Iraq feel bud.You mean the ones pouring in through Iran and Syria, killing them indiscriminately in order to stifle their efforts to have a government that is chosen peacefully by a popular mandate for the first time in the history of the Arab world? I know what you mean.
