Hello everyone. I just have a few thoughts and hopefully won't offend anyone...

This is a Military forum, correct? I think we are getting sidetracked from the real topics here. I am guilty of this myself, and I have changed that !

Canada vs. USA...Rednecks and Liberals...Us vs. them...Uninen...ducimus19...People will have an opinion that everyone will not like, but that's what this is about...Seeing things differently is ok, just don't be a **** about it. Be an adult.

Let's get back to the good **** ! Military (all...Foreign and domestic) and current events !

There's people here who don't know **** from shine-ola, and there's people here who know a great deal, and I'm sure the ones who don't know, will (hopefully) learn from the ones who do.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. It is becoming more and more difficult to sort through the garbage to find worthwhile posts.

But it is the Internet. So, unfortunately, whenever you have 1) youngsters trying to prove their manhood 2) political extremists trying to prove their point and 3) idiots trying to prove they are smart you will have inane postings.

Ignoring the trolls, as difficult as it may be, might be the best remedy.

No additional moderators needed. Daily post limit would be enough. Everyone would think twice before using his limit for writing stupid things. I like this forum for freedom of speech because other forum's rules are strict and arbitrary beyond all ussability. I don't like dissapering topics, banning, locking, moving etc. This forums with current moderators is more civilised than most other KGB alike ones....We just need to eliminate post whores, flame wariors...

How about a bit of a smackdown moderation for a week so everyone can see what its like to have all the bone threads closed really quickly. For instance only military related threads are allowed in the General part of the Forum, topics that keep going political get closed etc. Idiots get temporary bans for being idiots etc and then after a week go back to normal and hope everybody has learnt a valuable lesson?
