Everyone is probably well aware of the HK XM29 OICW weapon system that is able to ' shoot around corners ' while holding the gun around the corner without exposing your body but this israeli made device actually turns the corner to fire!

Probably and ancient post and everyone knows about it, but check it out!

I thought so... sorry. I was just fascinated that's all. I'm in the IDF and i never knew about it! Hell most of the army doesn't even know what a Tavor is.

The Germans had something like that at the end of WWII, originally designed for tank crews, but handy in urban combat in Berlin 45.

I was referring to a thing called Krummerlauf. Run a google search and you will see what I mean. For instance: http://www.sarcoinc.com/krummerlauf.html

One thing the Krummerlauf was nasty with was that it shattered the bullets in the barrell. Not practical when firing at longer ranges (probably not more than a few dozen meters) but in extreme close ranges and in surprise situations the bullet fragments were apparently quite effective.

I think originally the device was meant to be used from fixed positions as bunkers and from tanks to suppress enemy infantry assaults.

Neither have I, good idea that. Probably easy to fire due to the weapon being recoilless, wonder what it weighs?
