Glocks boast a larger magazine capacity, less recoil and a more ergonomic design, making it easier for users to handle compared to the standard-issue Beretta 9 mm.

Better ergos....

The Los Angeles Police Department has instructed its officers to stop using Glock 21 pistols because of concerns that the weapons could misfire.

According to Assistant Chief Jim McDonnell, the LAPD's Armory discovered that there may be a mechanical flaw with about two percent of the guns.

Officials with Austria-based Glock Inc. are expected to investigate the matter with the LAPD next week, he said.

I wonder if this applies to the civilian owned models.

This has been an issue for some time. Glock was very proactive about trying to figure out what's wrong, but wasn't getting anywhere. I hope it's resolved soon.

I wonder why people continue to call Glocks futuristic looking when it's been around for twenty years.

I dont think a handgun is ergonomic when you deform your knuckles after constant use.

Have you? where do you stick your knuckles? On a moving slide?
I would think any handgun will cause you some trouble if you don't use proper holding technique. At my job no one complains about Glocks ergonomics and most of the people are excellent shooters.

Methinks it's just some first gen glocks that are wearing out..
Probably need a depot-level rebuild. heck..call 'em surplus..chuck 'em and get new ones..

Could always go with what LAPD's Metro Divison is using..The Kimber .45s
p-)

You won't be disappointed. The 21 is an excellent gun, quite accurate right out of the box, and much less recoil than the .40 varients.
