I don't know about the others, but the last pictured soldier is not from the 812th Infantry Battalion (Batalionul 812 infanterie). He is from the 26th Infantry Battalion (Batalionul 26 infanterie "Neagoe Basarab"), which preceded the 812th in Afghanistan.

Also, it is the 26th Infantry which is known as the Red Scorpions (Scorpionii Rosii). The 812th is known as the Carpathian Hawks (Soimii Carpatilor).

The Red Scorpions were in Afghanistan from about April 2002 to January 2003. The Carpathian Hawks were there from December 2002 until June 2003. They were replaced by the 151st Infantry Battalion (Batalionul 151 infanterie), known as the Black Wolves (Lupii Negri). The Black Wolves departed in December 2003 and January 2004, and were replaced by the current Romanian contingent, the 280th Infantry Battalion (Batalionul 280 infanterie), known as the Gray Wolves (Lupii Cenusii).

The Red Scorpions, meanwhile, are now replacing the 811th Infantry Battalion in Iraq.

At the moment Romania has troups in Afganistan-Kandahar and Kabul, Irak-Nasiriah, Kosovo and maybe Bosnia.

I think so ... they got this name in Angola. Until now the romanian troups where in Angola, Somalia, Albania, Kosovo, Bosnia,Afganistan, Irak. They are all contract soldiers, so many participate in most of the places the romanians where involved.
