I'm leaving for boot camp on February 27th, the MOS that I enlisted for is Security Forces. There aren't a whole lot of pics/vids or anything much else, for the matter, on USMC Security forces or FAST teams. Can anyone help me out? Thanks guys.

you know if you give them the answers, theyll never try to find things theirselves and expect everything on a silver platter....

True, but the reason that we have this forum is so that people can share photos. Don't be such a snob. Either help the person find pictures, or forget the thread. Those galleries are buried deep in the user-submitted section of the site, so I wouldn't expect someone to find them too easily.

Security forces are a bit different then FAST companies! Actually your recruiter and classifier shoulda given you this info. IT's simple Security Forces are Marine MP's, they do everything from Base Patrol, Anti Rioting, Gate Security and Screening, Traffic Enforcement, Criminal Investigation, stuff like that. FAST companies, protect any Nuclear elements, wastes or weapons, on Navy and Marine Corps Installations. They employ infantry tactics, weapons and are normally experienced E-4 and up Infantry, that have already done a Tour in the FMF(fleet marine Force).

Another better place to find specific pictures on this would be the Navy news stand at the official Navy site. They are official pictures, guaranteed to be real and show you little background as to what they are doing. For FAST specifically, check global security. org . Youre not gonna find too many pics of these guys because of the sensitive nature of the job. If youre looking for Action though youre more then likely not gonna find it in a FAST company! They are drilled and trained to lethal perfection but, you will never see anything, hopefully they never do! If they go into action for real it means someone is trying to infiltrate or attack our Nuclear equipped Subs or Nuclear storage and that just wouldnt be cool.

IT's simple Security Forces are Marine MP's,
MCSF are not MP's. They protect nuke sites like Kings Bay, Ga and Bangor, Wa. First you go to Boot, then SOI then MCSF Training Batt.

FAST companies, protect any Nuclear elements, wastes or weapons, on Navy and Marine Corps Installations.
FAST companies respond to incident's and breaches of security. They are not the "regular" security unless there is a big problem.

are normally experienced E-4 and up Infantry, that have already done a Tour in the FMF(fleet marine Force).
You can be part of FAST or the MCSF as a Private, but you'd be in the Marines long enough by then that you wouldn't be this rank unless you were a shi#bird and then they wouldn't take you. There is a background check for anything MCSF. You do not have to be in the FMF. You can get a MCSF contract. Talk to your recruiter. I grabbed the following info from another site.

8152, Marine Corps Security Force (MCSF) Guard

Summary. The MCSF guard will be assigned to duty with MCSF units. He will be physically fit and mentally capable of enduring the rigors of combat. He will have the requisite knowledge to safely and properly employ the service rifle, pistol and shotgun. As a member of a reaction force, he will conduct offensive infantry tactics in confined spaces, ashore and afloat, to restore breached security and provide the final barrier/element of an integrated security plan for the asset being protected. He also must possess skills in land navigation and patrolling. In the grades of corporal through gunnery sergeant, as a security supervisor, the Marine will plan, evaluate, and supervise the implementation of site-specific security plans to protect assets designated as vital to the national security.

Marine Corps (USMC) Enlisted Job Descriptions http://images.about.com/all/bullets/dot_clea.gifMOS 8154, Marine Corps Security Force (MCSF) Close Quarters Battle (CQB) Team Member
Summary. The MCSF CQB team member will be assigned to duty with MCSF Fleet Antiterrorism Security Teams (FAST) Companies. As a part of a CQB team and utilizing CQB techniques, the team member will be required to restore security to prevent access, damage, or removal of vital naval assets. The CQB team member will be physically and mentally capable of enduring the rigors of combat, be knowledgeable in the safe and proper employment of CQB weapons, be skilled in land navigation and patrolling, be well versed in interior guard procedures, and be familiar with antiterrorist tactics and techniques. He also will be required to conduct offensive infantry tactics in confined spaces, ashore and afloat, to restore security when breached.

There's more info on the subject but this is the basics.
There you have it.

Have fun at boot.

Why you harping on me and nuking it, I was giving the guy more info then anyone else was. So add the details instead of bieng a jerk. If he has a contract and a recuiter he already has the paper description. Marine security force just like I said guard high value assets like nuclear facilities, Kings Bay, Washington, anywhere there are nukes. FAST companies are in the same areas and are 911 force like I said trained to deal with a breach. So what is the big deal. And in the last couple years how many applicants have you personally seen get FAST. Well I was a recruiter and I never personally saw an applicant get that job well with OEF going on and all. And personally in recent years having seen FAST companies in Portsmouth at the shipyard and Kings Bay at the Sub base and having lived in the same barracks, the majority of them had been in the fleet already and had only gotten FAST orders by excelling in the field with good recomendations from their company CO's.
This aint a cockblocking contest, just trying to help the guy out.

I'll go one up on helping you kid! Ill private message you the email address of a Marine Security Force Nco, and a FAST CO. NCO in Kings Bay Georgia! Seeing as your recruiter will probably blow smoke up your ass!
