I'm thinking of getting one.

It's a high-speed ALICE pack, with Fastex buckles and stuff like that, yet it uses the old frame, which I like. I'm loking into the version three model (IE the biggest one, of course).

The price is right for a good external-frame ruck.

Anyone got feedback on them?

I have been looking at this same pack for quite some time now and have not yet decided to get it. It has everyhting I need and some I don't but could use. I have also come across the Blackhawk Industries SOF Rucksack that is very similar to the MALICE pack and uses the same external ALICE frame. I own a Large ALICE with frame and a CFP-90 and have been looking to upgrade to a pack with the volume of my CFP-90 but frame of my Large ALICE. Look around on the net and you will find different merchants with the Blackhawk SOF ruck at different prices between $180-225.00, roughly the same as the MALICE. I have seen the BHI SOF ruck in ACUpat, black, woodland, and coyote whereas the MALICE is only OD. Strangely BH website does not show the SOF ruck in ACU but I have seen it in person last week and know it is available.

I know of it well, although have not used it (i go lite and fast),
TT uses strong material, well made construction.
In summery: if you are strong and smart enough to use/haul it,,, Good On Ya.

One of my buddies bought an SOF ruck before he was to 2nd ID. F*cking huge ruck, much larger and better designed than issue crap.

I need some American made products, especially a ruck. Less Vietnamese stuff for now.

Creeper: I don't carry a ton of stuff, but you can probably cinch it all down to smallerize it, and keep the superior load bearing crap and ergonomics or whatever the hell they call it, you know, with the buckles that actually work and sh*t.

Anywho, I think I'll get one for myself for this retarded Christmas holiday that's coming up.

brought a regular ol' alice pack over to their store here, had em do a lot of that same stuff to mine. very much glad i did. I had em change out the buckles, reinforce the thing, and add 5 pockets around the top. thinking about bringing it back to add on a sleeping bag-type pouch

Go with quality, 1000 cordua (sp) wherever possible, etc,, well made products,, they are out there ,,, do your homework,, do not go on impulse,, ask around,,,
Funny as it is,, more and more civilian designed/tested gear are being brought into Military service.

Thank expeditions like the various Everest and K2 type deals for that!

Plus you can carry more **** without having to think of ditching it all, or taking fire (usually!).

if you get a american large rucksack (or small which looks closer to the pic) there are several companies that will sew on the extra pouches. the TT ruck looks to me just a small ALICE pack with pockets added.

you might save some $$$ but i dont know actual costs to do the job. Ranger Joes is one that will do i believe

The TT Malice rucks are based on the large rucksack. They went with this design so soldiers could purchase a ruck that 1) lasted longer 2) held more crap 3) used existing suspension 4) and the most important part, looked close enough to issue that the uniform nazis' wouldn't have a cow. woot

I own the Malice3 and can say that it holds a crapload of stuff. You can stuff a GI issue extreme cold weather back in the sleeping bag pouch on the bottom and a boat load of you other goodies in the topside.

If you go with the Malice3 right now I believe thay still have it in multicam if that is what blows your skirt up.

Too small. And strap-on pouches = weak, flaps around, not good.

Attack me if you will, but I'm a pretty tall guy, and I used to ruckmarch as a hobby (yes, very exciting stuff) with heavy loads, so it isn't too much for me until I hafta carry food for one of my fat friends. ;)

I'll probably buy the MALICE 3.

Czech guy: I have lots of BHI stuff. I like it. But it's about time I support AMERICAN industry, especially a former 11B's company.
