Spc. Ronald Garcia, 21, of Las Vegas, a member of Fort Carson's 3rd Brigade Combat Team, demonstrates a new shooting stance in which the soldier faces forward, as opposed to the side. The stance helps prevent bullets from entering a soldier's side, which is not protected by body armor. The unit begins returning to Iraq this week.
i figure thats much like the SWAT stance, however it exposes a larger body surface.. why dont they just armor the side and expose less? and over-under overlap armor that is bucked on the left side would armor the right side..

Teaching a new stance is cheaper than more armor...

*note to self: don't use this stance when not wearing body armor while defending home*
