The DURO seems to be a great vehicle. Cool, how much equipment/weapons can be stored. Our military police really needed that beef-up
Edit: does anyone of the Germans know, how much DUROs we will procure?

Edit: does anyone of the Germans know, how much DUROs we will procure?
The Bundeswehr will recceive 181 DUROS, if I'm not mistaken.
I have a special question for He219. Are you a German living in the US or do you have German roots? You post many pics from the Bundeswehr pages and some German texts. Just curious... :)

you know, it may just be me - and im no expert - but I heard somewhere that you should have your eyes open when shooting... Correct me if im wrong
If you notice, the shooter in the foreground (who I assumer you are referring to) is right handed and therefore he has his left eye closed to attain a better sight picture. I do the same thing when I go to the range.

There may be seveal reason for him standing over them like that
1) He has or is giving out sectors of fire, it's a great way to see what they see
2) He wants to know when they move,if they move
I am sure there is more reasons...

On June 21, 1921, U.S. Army Air Service pilots bombed the captured German battleship Ostfriesland to demonstrate the effectiveness of aerial bombing on warships. At the time, the ship was one of the world's largest war vessels.

July 13-21, 1921 , elements of the group (49th and 96th Squadrons) were detached to General Mitchell’s 1st Provisional Air Brigade at Langley Field, Va., to conduct controversial tests to determine the efficiency of aircraft against naval targets.

An MB-2 hits its target, the obsolete battleship USS Alabama during tests. On Sep. 27, 1921, still operating with Mitchell’s provisional air brigade, the group’s MB-2 aircraft bombed and sank the ex-U.S. Navy battleship Alabama (BB-08) in Tangier Bay, Chesapeake Bay, Md.

I remember reading about those early bombing tests. It was something like only 1 bomb hit the target out of all the one's they dropped. But it did the job and sank the ship. After that, all the nay-sayers realized the potential of aircraft against ships.

Actually they were hit by multiple bombs. The ships didn't have full magazines so there wasn't any ammo to set off so it actually was harder to sink than a real ship fully crewed and stocked with ammo would have been. I had a relative who flew on these missions, Alfred Dittman

Of course, the Navy argued that there was also another factor missing- the ship's ability to manuever and the lack of damage control parties.
Let's just say the tests weren't as scientific as possible. ;)
