Gunman turned weapon on himself.

i live ten minutes from Carswell, if anybody has any more info on this other than press releases PLEASE PLEASE let me know, i have friends out there.
this time of year suicide rates go up huge during the holidays.
tragedy, plain tragedy.

The Naval Criminal Investigative Service and the FBI are investigating after three people were shot Thursday afternoon at the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base in Fort Worth.

Capt. John McCormack said a sailor shot two other sailors who are supervisors, then himself in the administrative building on base at about 12:40 p.m.

The sailors, whose names have not been released, were taken to Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital. The extent of their injuries and their conditions were not released Thursday afternoon.

Capt. McCormack said it was unclear what precipitated the shooting, but Fort Worth Police Sgt. Paul Ware said the gunman was a disgruntled employee. The suspect is in the custody of Fort Worth police.

the gunman must not have killed himself. odd, but not unheard of.

unrelated story i alluded to: the FWPD officer who was shot in the head has died.

UPDATE: the gunman in question was trying to kill himself and the two supervisors intervened to prevent it. the gun went off and the two supervisors suffered 'superficial' injuries'. the gunman was injured and taken to a hospital.

hearts and concerns for these families, especially the Fort Worth Cop, why, why why why, people are just so stupid sometimes. Its times like these that police and the military need to stay strong, it just amazes me that people will go to such extremes to make things "better", this sailor, life is never so bad that there is noone else, no alternatives, someone will always listen. and that cop killer, a despicable title, what in the hell was he thinking, what, he was gonna shoot a cop in the middle of the day and NOT get caught, f-ing incredible. i live in fort worth, its just been a hell of a week for us down here.
