Does anyone know where I can get a Swiss Camo uniform? Not the old Alpenflage but the new one. I think it is called M92.
Thanks

Problem is: You canīt
The Swiss were not happy about everyone and their aunt dressed up in Aplenflagge on the Balkans so they set some kind of ban on selling the new camo.
As far as I am informed, you have to bribe a swiss military guy to sell it to you.

I am not opposed to that ;-)

I find it strange that there isn't some cheap Chinese knock-off going around, with a pattern similar but not enough to be a patent violation. That's how it usually works for other camo patterns (read MARPAT at the beginning and ACU now).
But you want the real deal, don't you, cbreedon? bad boy, corrupting the innocent soul of a fair Swissman...

Check www.ricardo.ch , maybe you find something
(search for TAZ, Tarnazug, Armeematerial etc).
But it's not easy to find something in swiss camo. I recommend to you also Mike's shop.

That was an excellent weekend, despite spending lot of $$$
I have bought a brand new Gren flak vest (79.- woot ) made in '84

Were you in Lausanne this weekend... I saw one of those at the Army Surplus stand in the back right hand side... I bought leather pull sacks, and my kids Pompier helmet from them... the lady tooka pic of my son wearing his.... Did you go by the Point Break booth? I wasn't there... I run the shop in Geneva.
There is a commercial variant of the Swiss TAZ 90 (aka TASS 90) uniform which is an excellent reproduction of the military issue version (only a few differences which it would take a direct comparison with an original to notice). The commercial uniform is made by a company called S Worker, and was available on the international market several years ago. I believe S Worker even made field caps for this uniform. It should be noted the military issue uniforms also have some discrepancies, such as different types of metal snap covers, different markings/mfg information, and even slightly different colours in the dyes used to create the pattern.
The genuine uniform (TAZ 90 or TASS 90, although I believe you are correct, it was issued in 1992) is really difficult to obtain as others have already indicated. I know only a handful of international camouflage uniform collectors that have managed to find one. And usually the price is extremely high. Last time I checked www.ricardo.ch (http://www.ricardo.ch), the Swiss Auktionhaus, there was a single TAZ 90 shirt in used condition being offered at a starting bid of CHF 90 (that is almost $70 USD).
Anyway, I am not sure how helpful this information will be to you, but best of luck in finding yourself a TAZ 90 uniform. It took me almost ten years before I found one myself.
Cheers,
ICUS :)
