And is going to make it against Gordon Brown at the next election? And if he doesn't will he stay on as leader?

I don't take much interest in politics normally, but a part of me is hoping for a decent alternative to New Labour for the next election. I think the Tory party NEED him to stay on if they don't win. the one thing the Tories have certainly lacked is consistency in their leaders - Hague and IDS were a joke, Howard jacked after one election defeat...The Conservatives certainly need to rally themselves. As of the last election, we pretty much had a one party system...at least let us be bi-partisan now! (Liberal Democrats I hear you cry? AHAHAHA!)

Brown pffft. He has a major chip on his shoulders and if 2 Jags stays on with him we may end up with even more looney policies. Cameron will most likely win but I don't trust people who gesticulate with their hands. They all seem to go to the same spiv speech school for gesticulators.

Reminds me a bit of a younger version of Swiss Toni.

David Cameron as predicted ah? I think he will bring some fresh light into the Conservatives but I think his lack of experience will be his major weak point. I think he lacks the skills as a good speaker, will be interesting to see Cameron in a heated debate with Tony Blair. If the Conservatives win the next election, I don't think it will be down to Cameron, it will be Labour who will lose it themselves.

I bet we forget his name soon enough just like all the rest after Major, Cameron is hobbled by his buddy George Osborne (Shadow Chancellor) another feckless heir to a large fortune (Osborne & Little). David Cameron is one of the flat tax proponents in the Tory party.

I started paying attention to UKpolitics when IDS was in power and was he a joke rofl. Howard never seemed like a leader who would stay through more than one election, but he was a great speaker. I dunno about this fellow Cameron, but I can't wait to see him on PMQ tomorrow. Even if he does have good policies, Brown will do anything to be PM...he's been sitting next to Tony for a tad too long. Can someone tell me about the Liberal Democrats??? I never seem to understand their platform...

if any of you want to watch Cameron's first PMQs it's on the BBC news website.

I'm not sure what to think of cameron's style, it's certainly representative on how close Labour and Tory policy is.

Here's some comment on it (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/4506316.stm)
