Nice pics, as all other you´ve posted xingbake, keep up the good work.

I´ve read that the chinese ordered a huge bunch of the finnish LMG Lahti-
Saloranta m/26, but due to the war they never got them. Maybe good for the
chinese, because it was too well made, too small tolerances, so it had a
tendency to jam (like the german MG34) as soon as there was little dust,
but it was obviously very reliable during extreme cold. During the war the
finnish soldiers preferred captured Degtyarev LMG´s over this one. m/26
was not designated LMG either, but rather a "fast firing rifle" (pikakivääri).

Some more pics of the Lahti-Saloranta m/26

Run across this "The only international sale was a huge order of
30000 units in 7.92mm caliber to China in 1937. Only 1200 of these
weapons were actually delivered". Do you have any pictures of these
in chinese hands Xianbake?

Interesting. 1st time to hear about it. Frankly I don't see this machine gun before. The most popular machine guns that Chinese army used during WWII are Czech's ZB-26 and Canada's Bren MKII. Some ZB-26 serves in Chinese army until 1970s'. China also imported a lot Madsen M50 machine guns from Danmark in 1930's.

Thanks! The chinese seems to have had quite good individual equipment,
certainly as good as the japanese soldiers had. So hm, why the defeat?
Japanese superiority in heavy weapons and superiority in the air?

but due to the war they never got them.

They did not get them because of Japanese / German pressure about the issue to the Finns..

m/26 was not designated LMG either, but rather a "fast firing rifle" (pikakivääri).

Most accurate title in English that comes to mind is Squad automatic.. and in anylevel.. it was a weapon in same class and capability as US BAR.. what is BAR called as? :)

Japanese superiority in heavy weapons and superiority in the air?Actually most of the pictures pasted here are the main force of Chinese army(it was called as "central army") at that time. Unfortunately, it only took a small part. The most part of Chinese army was poorly equiped. Let lone tanks and aircrafts.
