Being a Marine, this has got to be one of the best by far greatest photos taken representing what the Marine Corps does. Thanks Clint.

Amazing, looks just like the original, even the flag.

My guess is that CGI was used to match up the flags.

Wow, that film looks impressive. Real Sherman's and even an actual Japanese tank. A few of the Marine actors are a bit overweight but the uniforms look good. I notice one guy is wearing his jungle med kit wrong. No big deal though.

I do wonder about this comment from screenwriter Paul Haggis though:

Clint's and my politics couldn't be more different and our views on the war couldn't be more different . . .

Different on WW2? How? I can't imagine. Different as in we were wrong or what?

Anyway, nice photo. I now have new wallpaper.

Yeah, but do you remember how promising "Windtalkers" looked? (I know, I'm a Scrooge p-) )

Yeah, I saw the Shermans and Jap tanks at work, it was kind of cool seeing those Shermans drive past me on their way to the beach. :)
I read on another forum that most of the overweight extras are U.S. servicemen from the base here in Iceland.
