Apparently a video was taken of the attack, stating that 2 U.S humvees were speeding away. Does anyone have this video or pictures? If the gunfight lasted so long(30 min +)... why was their no backup by coalition forces?

Well I speculated about this in another thread. But about "50" insurgents
attack the ICDC compound means that they were clearly organized. And
given the result they were probably militarily trained (conscription) all or
most of them as well. Given their military experience they sure as hell
had a security perimeter waiting for the americans to arrive. They might
have had shoulder-launched SAMīs as well.

Simply, the americans probably didnīt want to drive into a ambush, and
they didnīt want their choppers shot down, so they didnīt send a Kiowa
to check out what was happening.

Try www.*******.com in their video section they have a clip of the incident. There's also a clip from the attack on general Abizaid and the following gunfight.

I appreciate the "speculation" comment because naturally thats all we can do. It would be nice to have a better description from the people on the ground there, but we will have to wait for that.

Check the ******* video. I guess I had atleast one thing right with my
speculation. The Warthog drops flares, so they expected that the insurgents
had SAMīs ready to fire.

Your specualtion was on about the perceoved training of the insurgents. Our analysis said the same thing. We did have two up-armored humvees drive through two kill zones.I'm sorry I can't give you more than that.
