Ive been hearing rumors lately that the requirements for 18x were recently changed to 20 years of age...i havent been able to confirm this, but if its true doesnt it kinda defeat the purpose of "baby SF"...going straight from civlian to SF....any info on this topic would be very helpful. Thanks.

How does this "defeat" the purpose?
What is "baby SF?" I know what an "SF Baby" is, but not the inverse.

a.) wait till your 20 to join.
b.) join asap, and wait till your 20 to apply for SF.

no need to get all sarcastic on me....but thanks for the help...and i had already checked goarmy.com...i wasnt sure if that applied to the 18x program. In fact ive checked with several sources...i just figured it would be a good idea to get a general answer from a large group of sources....the reason i figured it defeated the purpose was because most people who enlist are right out of high school around 18 years of age...i was told by a Colonel the reason for the age change was because the wash out rate was so high...but if i remember correctly if you want 18x you have to chat with the Colonel at MEPS and he decides if you are qualified....seems to me this would clear out those who obviously couldnt cut it...
