I'm completly for a useless waste of time trying to mark all the Canadian Forces Bases I can think of on my google Earth map. Anyone here know where CFB Edmonton is in relation to the airport? North or South, etc. Thanks.

CFB Edmonton was formerly CFB Nameo (ex RCAF). A few k north of the city. The old airfield is just east of the base buildings.

If you're talking about the International Airport, that's well south of the city. The Municipal Airport is about middle of the city.

Then there is the old Griesbach base in North Edmonton...not much useful there now, but a bit of history anyway...

Yeah, Griesbach is right around my old home in Edmonton. Still remember 20 years ago the shooting range next to Castle Downs Rd.... before they added the dirt mounds around it. : )
Taught karate on the base some years ago. Now it's all being converted to residential.
Drove past CFB Edmonton a few days ago, the new base looks like a major improvement.
