Hey, did any of you doods read that book? It's about recon marines in OIF. I thought that it was pretty good, but I've heard rumors of it being wildly inaccurate (like Jarhead). What do you guys think?

I thought it was a great read. I had not heard that parts were fabricated. If they were, it was done a lot more slighly than Jarhead.

Im in the middle of it, i like it so far, good read. Im going to read 'One bullet away" which is written by the platoon leader of the platoon in Generation Kill (Nathaniel Fick), which should make for an interesting comparison.

I gotta keep my eye out for that book then, I would like to see how the different authors account for the same bit of action. To hear about it through the eyes of the reporter and through the eyes of the Combat Marine.

I've read it... and it was a really nice read. I'm now reading "Among Warriors in Iraq" by Mike Tucker. Recommended as well...
