Well here it is off the BBC news: Pakistan is now cooperating against the Taliban. Well it only took them a few years so what the hell, I guess they are really our freinds after all...NOT!!

What a lode of bull****. At least the overt pressure, and the covert back door diplomacy, worked to get Pakistan to seemingly cooperate again...

Of course, as soon as they percieve America's attention faltering they will be back to thier old tricks...err.....well at least back to more of thier old tricks as they never really stop supporting the Taliban and the various Kashmiri groups anyway. I never understood the logic behind banning terror groups yet taking no real action agaisnt them. In fact , all they do is change there names and...you guessed it..they are legal again. Of course, thats the logic isnt it: say you "banned them" and then wine and complain that India did nothing and doesnt want peace while Pakistan takes "huge steps" to "show it wants peace". Hah, Im glad Im not in control of India's tactical nukes or there would be alot of fried goat to eat after I heard some bull like that.....

I guess we really dont want to go into Pakistan overtly anyway and would much rather keep thing "on the low low" so that the Pakistani's can keep saying "there are no US troops in Pakistan".

As much as I hate Musharef the man is a pragmatist of sorts and is only doing what he feels best for his nation and his ultimate goals which would be to secure some sort of freindly Afghan government and keep up the terror campaign against Kashmir/India (and keep himself in the good graces of the US)......

"The only thing Musharef has going for him is that he is the only thing in Pakistan the United States has going for it" -credit that one to me, I just came up with it and I must say, I LIKE IT!!! Its got a ring to it.......
