BAGHDAD (AFP) - At least two Iraqis died and eight coalition force members were wounded in a double car bomb attack on a Polish base at Hilla south of Baghdad, a Polish military spokesman said on public radio in Warsaw.

The two dead were apparently the drivers of explosives-laden cars which drove towards the base, while the injured were six Polish troops, one US national and one Hungarian, according to a Polish military statement.

Spokesman Robert Strzelecki said only one of the two cars, which approached the base at around 7:15 am, had exploded.

The second had been stopped when troops at the base shot its driver dead, he added.

I`ve heard that both cars exploded outside base. A mongol soldier saved the base because he had opened fire and stopped one truck (he killed a driver). The second truck also exploded outside the base.
Our soldiers were injured by pieces of glass from broken windows.
Our bases are pretty well protected and it is very stupid to attack us. Terrorist need to find some easier target ;)

In Poland there were (and still are, during studies I had a very good friend of polish-tatar minority) a very brave and loyal to Polish State muslim-tatar minority. They were a good soldiers and they have gained a widespread respect for their bravery and really long lasting loyalty. I bet that in Russia there are also many muslim nationalities that are loyal and valuable for Russia contributing it's safety, culture and military tradition. Islamists (especially those "wahabit" contemporary scum) are a different bloody story... in this case it's an "eye for eye" principle that shall be enforced ... there is no other language they are able to understand.

Well, maybe I am naive, but I still believe in the power of ordinary human, no matter of who he or she is... For no matter of what nationality or religion You are, You always will find a common language with someone of different culture... In all cultures people may have families, children, jobs, they get sick, need a sense of unity etc... The main human feature for me it always was an attitude to human life. Fanatics of all kinds (religious or nationalistic) never regarded a life to be a value, they always want more and more power - common people are only tools and puppets in their game...
