New guy here. I have really enjoyed the info gathered from this site. I work for the US Army Corps of Eng. (Civ) I use a backpack a lot at work. Any views on the Raptor X-3?? I have plenty of hydration packs and have a BH Cyclone and love it.

Thanks for any info.

I mus say, that this backpack is quite big, but it is "suitcase" shaped-you cant put large stuff like winter sleeping bag in it.or-you can,but it is fokin uncomfortable to wear it,thanks to the soft back part with no frame or reinforcment in it.of course you can place the sleeping bag outside.thats the only - for me,otherwise it is a great pack with comfortable shoulder padding..

Thanks for the info. Thats what I needed to know. The pack appeared to be "suitcase-ish". I did not seem to have a good waist strap. I will not be my main pack. I also plan to get the frame insert. Good to know about the sleeping bag placement. I do winter mountain trips, but have a speical pack for those trips.

Cheers
