Brittish, eh?
Hmm, maybe they are testing out stuff. You know the SA80 and it's flaws...

That's way wacky... Looks like the barrel got some kind of an attachment on the middle of the barrel - a lot of Mini-lovers attach diffirent couplings on the barrel to reduce the barrel whip and the resonance... Maybe he is playing a role of an OpFor?

I'm sure that the Royal Marines don't use Rugers.
He may be from a country/island that shared an exercise with UK Forces.

I believe that's Cpl Carl Butterfield of the Bermuda Regiment. I know some BRegt riflemen who are also cops down there. We train with their tactical team. They use Mini 14's among some other weaponry.

I know *of* him- IF that's him in the pic. I think that pic was taken by a British Army PSI DS'ing a BRegt island defence ex in 2003, at the same time we were on the island with the Police firearms team. There's a bloody good mess at warwick camp (their barracks) and he was offering (tongue in cheek) to sign autographs.
This is of course presuming my memory serves me correctly.
Check out `www.blackandcoke.com' and use `recent events' menu to check out pics of the BRegt recruit training and passing out ceremony. Did you know it's the last conscripted unit in the colonies, if not the entire Commonwealth?

Yup, Bermuda Regiment. Ruger Mini-14 (AC-556 versions I think) and Uzi are used. Got some pics up at 145 (HC) Bde RRTT at Malta Barracks up at the the 'Shot of some RRV blokes out there training with the Ruger and Uzi.
