Some photos may be reposts...I just personally found these to be interesting like the BMP with LAV25 turret and the other with a General Dynamics built turret. One of the BMPs is Finnish.

Whoa, never seen a BMP like that in Finnish service before. Modernization?

It is an experimentation to increase BMP1's firepower. The same kind of test like the one with turret for XA-185.

It's GOTTA be called a "Warthog". If it isn't it should be. They should stick some tusks on it to complete the effect.

So what does that mean in a broader context regarding Finland and BMP-1? Someone wants to keep them in the organization after the armored brigads will be closed down in the not so distant future? Modernizing them with those turrets and then scrapping them after a couple of years would be typical of countries like Sweden, but doesn't sound much like Finland.

But of course the turrets can be used on other platforms after that.
