I Just Bought A Paratroop Weapon Case And Shooting Mat From Cheaper Than Dirt. I Have Droped Thousands Of Paratroops In My Years As A C-130h Flight Engineer And I Remember Seeing These Guys Carring These Weapons Cases. I Did Not Know That You Had To Be A Rocket Seincetist To Learn How To Properly Fold One Of These Cases Up In Order To Carry A Weapon. I Would Like To Know If There Are Any Paratroopers Out There That Might Give Some Instruction On How To Fold One Of These Thing Up. I Would Be In There Debt.
Thanks

A bit more respect 4 a MSGT would be in order here p-). Just stick to the topic.
do you want to know how to rig it or do you want to know how to put your weapon inside of it?
undo all tie downs and zippers this includes the upper folding portion
put the weapon in carrying handle towards the zipper and then zip it up(make sure you let out some slack on the upper folding portion so as to fit a m16 or m4) fold the upper folding portion over and secure it throught the double rings(common sense) snap the upper snap on the weapons case, if this si messed up or will not snap make a nice little square knot and tie upper end closed
next rap the bright yellow or white strap around the weapons case cause you cannot use it at this point and it is only to be used when being rigged to jump
assemble the qrs in the back the loop in the back goes pointy end through the d ring and the the qrs snaps facing downwards so as easy to attach to the harness facin you. when applied to the parachute harness this should make the release handle available to be lowered.
to the best of my knowledge this is how i remember how it is done...jumpmaster did i miss anything

Thanks For You Input However This Is One Of Those Weapons Cases That Does Not Have A Zipper. I Used To Have One With The Zipper But Is Became Contaminated With Mildew So I Threw It Away. I Ordered These To Carry My M-16 And My Shotgun In While I Am Deer Hunting. I Want To Carry Them On The Front Of My Atv. The Cases Are To Protect The Scope And To Keep The Mud Off Of My Weapons. I Will See If I Can Get A Picture Of It And Attach It To Give You A Better Idea Of What I Am Dealing With.
Thanks

Speaking From Experience Here, I Think You Should Get A Hard Impact Resistant Plastic Case For Your Rifle And Shotgun.
Gods...how can you type like that?
Anyways...
Get a hardshell plastic case for your Quad. The mat/bag you have sucks for protection of the gun.
Trust me...impact resistance case. The scope will hold its zero better, it'll survive a roll, and if you accidentally swipe a tree it has a MUCH better chance of surviving.
Massive words of wisdom...

I hope guys will forget about my spelling and typing I was not a clerk typist in the Air Force. I had clerks do all my typing and spelling while I was air drooping cds, heavy weight cargo, and paratroopers, an haho and halo. I just hunt and fish now.

Gods...how can you type like that?
If you type stuff with caps-lock on in the new boards it just capitalizes the first letter of each word.

Are You Serious? I'd Seen This Before But I Thought They Actually Took The Time To Capitalize The First Letter Of Each Word Individually. Guess You Learn Something New Everyday...

I have looked into plastic gun cases for ATVs and none of the ones that I have found are able to carry an AR-15 with a 50mm Bushnell firefly scope mounted on it. It just will not fit.
It is reasonable to believe that I am not going to get the help I seek or the answers to my original question of how to fold this gun case and shooting mat.
I am going to leave this forum and seek answers elsewhere.. :bash:
best wishes

"msg Heath": You Should Go With Plastic. There Are Models Available, And The Next Generation Of Airdrop Weapon Cases Will Be Disposable Hard Plastic And Foam.
Eta: Interesting, I Wonder Why It Does That.
