Nice pics, Chmiel!
Only one that looks odd is the Greek one heh.
Not bashing on any Greeks here, but, it does look like they're wearing a dress.
The Russian honor guards that I've seen are also pretty cool.

Ever given any thought of why the greek loke like that? Maybe because the
country and itīs civilization is a liiiiitle older than the US one. Well, about
2500 years older. I think they are proud of their traditions no matter what some
americans say.

When I was an honour guard guest at the swedish castle we had a visit from many countries. It was an honour guard happening. I think the norweigans and the (maybe)scottish impressed me most.
Edit:
Ofcourse i forgot probably the best. Something ive only seen on tv, the lenin guard :)

I'm not offended in any way but just for the reccord greek civilisation is much older than 2500 years, Trojan war was fought at about 1000 B.C. , and as for the "dress" wearing that dress Greeks liberated most of Greece in the 1800s. And the picture is from the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Athens where there is an honor guard 365 days a year 24 hours a day, no matter what the weather is like. And thats the least a nation can do for the people who die for it. :)

It was nice to be able to show mum and dad some flash drill when I marched out of recruits. It was also nice to be able to march in step during ANZAC day parades and our welcome home parade. But apart from that I feel drill was a massive waste of my time.
Is there anything worse than standing on a parde ground for hours on end not listening to boring speaches? The only fun is watching people pass out from heat exhaustion. :D

German Guards look al little bit unspectacular...something like old german Wehrmacht uniforms. As I know there are a lot of traditions in german army...so why not using old uniforms from brandenburg, prussia, saxonia, bavaria etc.?

The USMC silent drill team is very impressive. I am all for ceremony in a nation's armed forces as it instills confidence in the public of the discipline and professionalism of it's servicemen.
I wouldn't knock any uniforms gentlemen as they are usually of a very old design when most of the population were wearing stuff like that.
The americans seem to be smarter as these uniforms were designed about 100 years ago not 500 or thousands.

I prefer old uniforms like swiss guard of Watykan, few years ago we wanted some old uniforms(like swiss guard or so) for our city guard(local forces like police payed from city cash but with less competences they keep order in town but they dont do inwestigation etc...) doing patrols in old city, as turistic attraction of course politics fuc** this :]
Polish uni. looks cool :)
