Heres a vid of an american tank assault on an insurgent stronghold. The vid is captured from the insurgent perspective, and the vid is at night and early morning. I figured by adding music adn editing the **** out of, i wont recieve as much flak becuase its one of thier videos.

sure np. Basically the vid is 10 minutes long. video quality is good. There are a group of insurgents in a building that is under attack from american armor. Multiple rpg's flying, tank rounds as well. The vid is at night and into the early morning. Its filmed from the insurgents perspective, as why i added music, not to piss anyone off on here. Anyways, Thats about it. Just lots of shooting and tracers and stuff like that. It was my first time messing with windows movie maker, so bear with me, i got lots to learn and mess with. This vid was released a few months ago, so this offensive is probably from early '05, but i dont have info on that or what city it is. I always assumed it was Ramadi, from what others had posted, but i have no real clue of that as i dont speak arabic.

ya ive been waiting to rip that section of the vid for a while, no point keeping such a large vid for just a couple cool parts, that firefight i think was the best part of the vid. And i was wrong about earlier, the original file i got the footage from is 590mb, but same duration.

if your version is a smaller file size, could just be because i downloaded the best quality version. The original rmv version was probably 80mb or something

all i did, which i think is really easy, is open windows movie maker and open whatever vid you want. This one was already stored in there, and when your vid is opened, it appears in different clips, just click on a clip and play it, under the vid screen there is an icon for taking a snapshot. I could help you out some more if you want, just PM me.

you know, that would be alot easier i think. i like though when im in movie maker, i can pause the vid, and still move the bar accross and the movie will move as i move. Easy to get nice tracer round shots or explosion shots. Im gonna try that program you use. thanks

Yeah this MPC solution is a bit rough, sometimes it will not save the exact frame displayed in the pause. oh and thanks for letting me know about the movie maker solution :)

That particular scene is just some Russians blasting AK's in Chechnya. I have literally hours and hours of footage from Grozny, but a lot of it I can't post because it is too graphic. I have seen guys blown so high out of tanks that they land on the powerlines.

Yeah i too finaly now watched this (infact am watching as i write) and this is cut from bigger Islamic Army Iraq video i have, any anyhow i find the name of the topic misleading as theres not much "tanks attacking" and 95% of the fire there is actually from the insurgents weapons. Sad.

Also of the video thats topic here, one thing that came to mind when i first saw it way back when that this group of insurgents, well their actions and so on look quite military / professional like, its not your average group of thugs that have just decided to go to a street corner and burn some powder with AKs / PKMs IMHO.

No more like 10 minutes of "film time" but yes it was a full assault that lasted the better part of a morning.
