Dude, I got rid of cable about a year ago and my life has improved greatly. Much less propoganda and BS and more boardgames with the wife. I never knew I was such a kickass Yahtzee! player until I lost cable. I'll never pay for cable/satellite/dish again.

I dot remember the last time I actually used it to watch a television program. If I remember correctly, it was in 1997...when I got rid of cable. I have watched CNN in an airport bar though and get together to watch hockey at the local Tavern.

I watch plenty of movies and occasionaly play on Xbox on it...

So, yeah, giving it up would be pretty easy.

I'm bored with tv...I even don't watch news programs now...because here I have almost every abroad news one day or half of day earlier than in TV.

ESPN, FOX News, MTV/VH1/CMT, History Channel, Comedy Central is all I watch unless there's a good baseball or football game on. TV sure...live without my PC...no way!

Yeah, I'd have to agree with yah there, Jack. Although TechTV, I think, has come under new management recently. It's gotten a lot more shall I say...adult? It's gotten to the point I can't watch it around the young'uns.

My all-time favorite channel is Discovery Wings.

Okay, so maybe there are a couple things on American television. :)

If the tv is on its either going to be on the discovery channel, spike tv, speed television (racing network) or the history channel and sometimes the comedy network. Other then that the rest of tv is garbage, and I can live without the idiot box.

Big brother Sweden

With crap like that aired on swedish television I don´t feel
that there is much use to watch television. I usually only
watch Discovery and so forth. On the Internet I can choose
what to watch, on TV I can´t.

I don't know, television has a frightning effect on some of us people.

Now I'm mainly interested of news-programs and all sorts of war documentaries on the TV, and I try to pick the best out of the pile of crap that the television channels sometimes tend to be.

I don't really watch TV except for movies sometimes. Most everything that TV has to offer you can get on the computer.

No TV for 2,5 years and doing fine. I get sports at bars and occasional movies at her place.
