WASHINGTON (*******) - Newly released military documents show U.S. Army investigators closed a probe into allegations an Iraqi detainee had been abused by a shadowy military task force after its members used fake names and asserted that key computer files had been lost.

The documents shed light on Task Force 6-26, a special operations unit, and confirmed the existence of a secret military "Special Access Program" associated with it, ACLU lawyer Amrit Singh said on Thursday.
The documents were released by the Army to the American Civil Liberties Union under court order through the Freedom of Information Act. They were the latest files to provide details of the numerous investigations carried out by the Army into allegations of detainee abuse in Iraq.

He told Army investigators that U.S. personnel forced him one night to remove his clothes, walk into walls with a box over his head connected to a rope around his neck, punched him in the spinal area until he fainted, placed him in front of an air conditioner while cold water was poured on him, and kicked him in the stomach until he vomited, the documents stated.
Yep! I believe the detainee!!! No reason at all to believe U.S. Forces, they always lie! And the "script" that every detainee reads about the abuses they suffered is the ABSOLUTE truth! Detainees DON'T lie!! Don't you guys know this by now?????????
What a NON story. What is it with Rueters? So fair & balanced!!!!!!!!

The ACLU beleives detainees more then the soldiers and this is typical of them since they are representing NAMBLA, so they can molest little boys. ACLU terrorist sympathisers. JMO

indeed. The media refuses to accept the fact that Al Qaeda operatives are TRAINED to make accusations of abuse to turn public opinion in their favor.
Is it true? Who knows and who cares? All we know is that Task Force 626 knows what it is doing and isn't going to alter their interrogation techniques because the ACLU says so.

The good old story of what is true and what isnt. Well, as we know, terrorists train to make up those stories to let the US look like they are violating international laws, but on the other site, we know that not everything the USA does with suspected terrorists (the word lies on "suspected", for some people they never could 100% that they are terrorists at all) is right and so on.
Well, I guess the truth lies in between those 2 versions: he made some parts up so the US looks bad and the Task force guys used some more methods to get at the info. This kind of stories always exsited, during WW1, WW2, Korea, Vietnam. Stories and tellings from POWs begin beated to death, tossed out of Helicopters, thrown into pits etc. Some of these sttories where true, some not and the rest, no one knows at all.
Of course, everyone will blame liberal media, left-wing hippy commies and what not. Thig is, you always need to hear both versiosn, look at both sides, ask questions and only belive yourself. Its ok to put everything into question, but paranioa will not help in these cases. Its always about the facts and not about theories or presumptions.

Well, I have to admin that I cant know everything and that I cant really say what the ACLU is. I would be glad if somone could tell me, what that is. My only guess is, thats some Offices tasked with the mission to look into cases of viloations of international laws made by US soldiers in Iraq and so on. Its a bit hard to have all those acronyms in mind when you deal with military matters.

ACLU is a Liberal groups that goes around suing the government from local to federal because they percieve some rules and laws are against our civil liberties. One of the groups they represent is NAMBLA (North American Man/Boy love association), this is a group that advocates legalization of MEn having *** with boys (Child Molestation)

Man that creeps me out....I didnt know something like that existed at all. Danm, sometimes I think you guys have some real problems in the States. Anyway, I can see where the point is now. I though it was some civil rights group or somthing, but not some extrem left-wing child mostler organization. Man, we come from one extrem here into another. Danm, where the hell steppd I into. Well, I´m out of this topic......sorry.....but thats out of my scope, knowledge and my limits. :-(

^^ACLU represents most fringe organizations not only far-left but far-right also. Besides MAMBLA they have also represented various Neo-Nazi groups here in the US. They are fringe loving bleeding hearts. Why they get the bad rap from most of us in the US is because they are always associated with the dregs and bottom feeders.
To quote the Blues Brothers: Elwood: "Illinois Nazis." Jake: "I hate Illinois Nazis." So much to that.

Exactly. Look at the capital punishment case. For 15 years they've been fighting to prove the guy was innocent and then - surprise! - he's guilty!
