but they're resting them on their shoulders. kind of an odd way to hold a rifle...
perhaps some kind of recoilless weapon?

I see it like that also. Recoilles? ok maybe, but wouldnŽt it be more easier/balanced to handle if the weight wouldnŽt be such front? ( The " pipe " I mean.. )

My vote goes to home made RPG launcher. There was a picture of a captured one somewhere in Iraq and it looked close enough to these things.

Oh, IŽll take back my words. Seems to have something do with recoilles antitank
weapons we have also in Finland: "Musti"
http://www.pkymasehist.fi/vekara.html and the first pic at left. The handling/loading seems little bit the same.
I feel like an total ass thinking that those "Jihad" fighters wouldnŽt know which way to hold their weapons :(

You try to shoot 95 S 58 from shoulder and you would propably die, there is a video too in circulation where one man loses his teeth for messing around and firing similar (but bit smaller..) weapon from his shoulder. :|
Also there was this one odd sniper rifle (heavy calibre, from iraq, rusty or burned captured in some house search..) of which there was a pic of somewhere around the forums, i think this is the same weapon, but nobody could id it then either when i asked.. Was of bullpup single shot bolt action type id say, much like the weapon here, and the layout is about similar.

But that could also be it. Maybe made to shoot OG-7 type of rockets..

Well, my guess its a B10, or to be more accurate, a Chinese or North Korean Copy of the M20 "Super Bazooka", my other guess would be that it is a 75mm RCL or a 90mm RCL.

Yeah, see that was what I was talking about. To me they look very similar and of course the home-made nature of these weapons means that they're not going to be identical.

May be a home made weapon for launching 40mm rifle grenades fitted with RPG sight. Unlike RPG there is not much tube behind the shoulder. If there is as much back blast as that of RPG it should have been longer. bazooka is longer.
