That's disturbing.

At what point do politicians realize they actual represent the people who voted them into power? I'm sure everyone who voted for this guy is shaking their heads and wondering what the hell is going on.

Amazingly, there are a fair number of Brits coming out in support George Galloway (taken from the BBC website)
Just because the media are trying to destroy George Galloway, and channel four selectively edits what we see of Mr. Galloway, does this justify their behavior? Finally we see a politician who is upfront and honest, who the media scream about because they would prefer to waste their news resources on perpetuating news they make themselves rather than report on issues which deserve to be publicised.

People who are 'outraged' and staging protests are no doubt politically opposed to George Galloway anyway - I'm not fooled by that. As he is one of the few MPs with a spine who is willing to put his neck on the line to speak out against war and imperialism, this hasn't damaged his reputation in my eyes. I still admire him. He's one of our most treasured politicians and it would be a sad day in politics without him.
John Baker, London
He'll be speaking to a far wider audience on Big Brother than from the back benchs. He might even attract whole new group to politics.
Lets hope he uses this new platform to get some issues into the open.

galloway lost respect because of his cat charade? i think more of him. he has shown consistent good humour. his willingness to make a fool of himself shows character. he is very self confident. serene. can't see blair doing likewise. far too uptight. what will people think?

At least everyone knows where GG has been and done recently. Where was your MP yesterday because very few were in the commons. It matters little where or what an MP is doing so long he or she is available for an important vote and then they are there to do as they are told whether it is what contituents want or not. At least GG is giving fees to charity, what about all the MP's getting pay from outside business which charity does that go to?

George Galloway went on big brother to get his voice heard without the censorship prevelant in the press. I disagree with his politics but what was done to him by the US government was wrong but continues to be proliferated by UK and US news networks owned by certain individuals who have tight involvment with the US run new world order.

Galloway's the Brit MP who took oil vouchers from Saddam Hussein (something he still denies) in return for supporting Iraqi interests in the UK. He's pretty much a looney-lefty attention hua.
