Good one !
not.
Kuwait is a very important strategic launching pad for Personnel going to Iraq, along with Jordan. If Kuwait was removed as a transit place, it would create a huge logistical problem.
Not that I believe anything is going to change from today.

Thats a pretty harsh statement. What exactly did he do to make you so glad that he died?

Just because a country is not a democracy does not mean it murders and tortures its citizens. Nor does being a democracy automatically make a country a better and safer place to live than its non-democratic neighbours.

100% agree...Democracy aint the be all and end all....I love it but that does not mean everyone will...

I am not happy that he is dead per se, I am happy that this might give kuwait a chance to move out of the middle ages and into modern times.

Kuvait has a rather ****ty human rights trackrecord and is in very great need of reforms, not only democratic reforms.

Thats pretty naive. Perhaps you could metion some examples where the natural death of a dictator lead to democracy of a country...

If you would like to outline to human right track record of kuwait that you find so offensive also I would be gratefull. I am certainly interested in what crimes would make such a free thinker like yourself rejoice at the death of another human.

Generaly you can say that in kuwait you live well if you are a male kuwaiti, everything else and you are a second class person, the courts are corrupt, political rights nonexistant and there are a mass of political prisoners.

The situation is almost as bad as in Saudi Arabia.

Kuwait is a lovely friendly place,it's spotless for most of it,they're lazy though, and employ Philipin's to do the leg work, whilst the kids drive about Kuwait city in their Mercs Beamers and Porches, sucks you can't get a bevvy like Jordan though.

SOP........are you gigging in the box?
