It's the pin of the Counter-Terror school.
Why a cat? there is prolly some stupid reason, but it looks nice :P

I also have no idea of why that cat, though I know that CT school very well and where it’s located. For more info on that well renown Israeli CT school, Click here (http://www.isayeret.com/terror/school.htm)

Anyways here are more unit pins from various elite combat units with some more animals…knock yourselves out with these………. :D

kol hakavod=well done

Zahal=IDF

The sentence: Well done to the IDF

Maybe totally irrelevant but me thinks that black cat means bad luck. I dunno 'bout Israel but at least up here in ol' sweden running into a black cat means bad luck (well, if you are superstitious, that is). So maybe it means something like: "if you run into us, you're **** out of luck"...

...but then again, maybe not...

Thanks S'13

One more Hebrew question.

I have a watchcap from the Givati brigade and it writing on it. The last word is L'Givati, but the first word I don't know. It is spelled.. Alef Yod Tav Yod. What is that?

I live in Seattle, born in England.
Jewish convert.....still learning Hebrew
I collect militaria from all over. Just got in an order from Israel yesterday. I like the Givati stuff so I ordered the hat.
Anything else :D

It is bad luck of a black cat crosses your path. If you are the black cat, it is bad luck for the other guy.

Anything else :D wow :D well I guess all I can say is welcome to the club ;)

You converting to Judaism is not what “wierded” me out ;) its you preference for Givati stuff ;) can you explain?

I mean out of all the great IDF combat units you chose Givati

P.S. I am just joking. I am just having some old military rivalry fun between the differing services or units that exist in the IDF combat infantry ranks.

Shalom :D

Shalom, glad to be in "the club"

I like Givati because everyone else seems to prefer Golani or Airborne. I like to be different. :D

Also I like their insignia. Shu alei Shimshon (Samson's Foxes). My dog is a Shiba Inu and looks like a fox.

Shalom to you too . Glad you join the "mishpuhe" , don't let the "goyim" on your nerves , and beware from those fine "shikse" out there .

I like Givati because everyone else seems to prefer Golani or Airborne or nahal ;) ....

And there is a valid reason why everyone prefers those……..I mean people usually prefer the best ;) …..just saying :D

I like to be different. :D different is all good but at the same time, be smart about it ;)

I mean walking around with any IDF hat where you are is different enough, you might as well walk around with better units on ;)

(again just kidding around :D )

“I mean out of all the great IDF combat units you chose Givati”

That's a bit harsh dude , I didn’t mean it to sound harsh, I was just having a little fun.

You know like those the old rivalries between different units that never end. I mean hell, you could not have been in the IDF if you never at one point made fun of Givati (or I am sure them making fun of other units)

Its all part of that stupid inter service revelries.

At the end of the day however, Kol hakovaod le Tzahal, including Givati ;)

Shalom :D

Found this on isayeret :D

http://www.isayeret.com/units/land/special/7142/terror-symbol.jpg

While Unit Oket'z has an official winged dog insignia, the Attack Palga has created its own distinctive patch. This logo is unofficial and can be seen on the operators' hats and t-shirts as well as on their cars. The logo is made of a Bulldog attacking the famous "cat on target" logo - the renown emblem of the IDF Counter Terror School.
