Its been a couple of years since I left the US, so I am gonna get a freind to import a bag full of nostalgia junk food that I cant get in CH(dont tell customs!!!). I figured the knowledgable people of the most glorious off topic section could give me a hand, since I dont know what good stuff came out lately and well I cant remember all the good stuff.

What I got till now:
Hostess stuff, especially twinkies
cheetos
cracker jacks
moon pies (do you get these in FL?)

and thats where my memory fizzles and I cant think of any other good stuff, I tried to picture myself in a 7-11 and I can see all that evil colorful food, but the goddamn lables are fuzzy...

Have fun getting it all confiscated in EU customs :|

Anyway can't you find a local "USA shop" where you live... ? Got a few of those here in Sweden for guys in your situation. Some place called 'Grey's American foodstore' got a chain of shops here.. maybe they got some elsewhere in europe I dunno. Anyway it might be easier to ask them to send food/candy from inside the EU... cos technically EU customs is pretty anal.

link.. only swedish text though.

Did you roast it over a fire??? Roast it to a light brown color and enjoy. Even better, Roast it and put it between two Graham crackers with a piece of Hersheys chocolate. We call those S'mores here in the States.

Tasty!!!!!!!

Customs (EU or Swiss) usually isnt a problem, especially not for the guy who is running the errand for me... he flies alot and knows the ropes...

sadly I havent found a proper US store in CH, I find bits and pieces here and there for ridiculous prices, like a can of Dr. pepper for 6.50ch (4,19€ or 5,07USD) etc...... also its not really the same thing as if you get it from the source...

re: enjoying it or not, yes, some stuff can be pretty horrible, but I guess some stuff is an aquired taste, ask the english about marmite, that stuff is horrible... anyway its nostalgia food, not like I am going to live off this stuff.... then again I enjoy MREs...

oh, remembered beef jerkey, a pack of double stuff oreos and aunt jemaimas pancake mix(no its not the same as the other pancake mix you can get over here).

damn, seems like my agent is telling me moon pies are nowhere to be found in FL, I think I am gonna tell him to look for mallomars...(whats the difference anyhow?)

Of course, you can get them here at any gas station.

How funny, you should stay awayyy from our junk food but I admit some of them are very good...I got a box of Twinkies the other day, I scolded myself but I hadn't eaten one in so long...I was kind of craving it:oops:

Is it me or do twinkies taste nothing like they did when we where kids? I haven't had one in a year, but they seemed to be a lot more tough and rubbery than soft and spongy with a lot less creme.
