A Russian Su-24 frontline bomber has crashed at a Far East airport. No one was hurt in the crash.

The incident took place at Vozhayevka airport in the Amur region on Monday, Interfax news agency quoted the head of the Flight Security Service to the Russian Armed Forces, Major General Sergei Bainetov, as saying.

The pilots managed to eject and are alive. There were no reports of any casualties in the incident.

According to preliminary information, the crash was caused by a technical failure.

Thank god no one was hurt. Sounds like the aircrew did everything they could and it was just one of those things where even the smallest thing can screw up a plane

Certainly does doesn't it. It would have meant that they would be able to ditch wherever was most suitable also. :)
