China has currently developed 4 types of 8x8 armored chassis. So far, PLA has yet to decide on one.

From L->R:

BK1990 designed looks a bit dated, a 90s programme with design cues from BTR series. This one carries a 120mm smoothborn
A newer project with 105mm or 120mm smoothborn
Another new project with 122mm howitzer
Still another one with 105mm anti-tank gun, possibly an earlier design of 90s

considering how short and narrow the body is.. packing a 120mm i wonder how much it tips when shooting in any direction but up

I don't see anything on that SP 122mm system to stabilize it even when stationary.

If it works ...why does it matter..where they got it from?
It still takes a tremendous amount of work...else everyone would be doing it...
