I think O'Reilly fared better on a comedy show that Letterman would fare on a political show. We expect 100% of what Letterman says to be crap. Except when he decides to turn serious and then we're supposed to think he's suddenly insightful and intelligent. Just put on the funny hat and dance for us, Dave.

I really hate Bill O'Reilly. Make sure you click were it says Caribbean shower fantasies and Thailand *** show. That's a good read right there.

The funny thing is most people just like Lettermen have never seen his show and claim he is full of crap! Truth is he does come off brandish but he is rarely wrong. He is not a news show he is a editorial show, and he never claims anything else. If you want to form your opinion about him at least watch him with as much limited bias as possible(which is impossible for most), and then like he say's "you decide"..

Letterman shouldn't have gotten into politics.

O'Reilly bested him...

The Daily Show butt-rapes all political talk shows.

O'Reilly just doesn't do politics. He also speaks allowed about rape victims and getting laws changed. His latest is about a little girl that was raped over a period of four years. The guy was sentenced to 60 days in jail and O'Reilly, amongst others with common sense, want the judge outta there and have the pedophile get locked up for a long time.

Is John Stewart mocking that as well?

and midav, no one would mock that story and you know that's not at all what someone is talking about when they say the daily show "butt-rapes" political talk shows. besides, the raped girl isn't a political story.

But that's still WEAK...

Most humans would agree with O'Reilly so it's a moot point.
It's like Oprah coming out "against violence"

Bill O'Reilly's Caribbean fantasy monologue, 9/1/2004:

Well, if I took you down there then I'd want to take a shower with you right away, that would be the first thing I'd do...yeah, we'd check into the room, and we would order up some room service and uh and you'd definitely get two wines into you quickly as I could get ino you I would get 'em into you... maybe intravenously, get those glasses of wine into you...
You would basically be in the shower and then I would come in and I'd join you and you would have your back to me and I would take that little loofa thing and kinda soap up your back... rub it all over you, get you to relax, hot water... and um... you know, you'd feel the tension drain out of you and uh you still would be with your back to me then I would kinda put my arm -- it's one of those mitts, those loofa mitts you know, so I got my hands in it... and I would put it around front, kinda rub your tummy a little bit with it, and then with my other hand I would start to massage your ****s, get your nipples really hard... 'cuz I like that and you have really spectacular ****s...

So anyway I'd be rubbing your big ****s and getting your nipples really hard, kinda kissing your neck from behind... and then I would take the other hand with the falafel thing and I'd put it on your pussy but you'd have to do it really light, just kind of a tease business.

The complaint goes on to say: "During the course of Defendant Bill O'Reilly's ****** rant, it became clear that he was using a vibrator upon himself, and that he ejaculated. Plaintiff was repulsed."

Either way it was an ignorant statement just as yours is ;) I also think I made it clear with my opening line O'Reilly just doesn't do politics.

It seems like in a day and age when some common sense is needed, people just want to be against something just for the sake of it. I used to never care about O'Reilly because of everything I have heard from people, until I was asked to listen to his show one time. ]

After that, I made up my own mind that the man speaks a lot of truth about todays society and politics.

The man isn't perfect and has screwed up in the past like any other person. However, he makes hell of a lot of sense compared to Limbaugh, Hannity, Franken (yeah both right and left) and vast majority of others...

what? what ****ing ignorance?

did anyone see the daily show segment dealing with "the war on Christmas?"
and the clip they showed of OReilly saying that a two word phrase can't offend anyone ("Merry Christmas"), and then seconds later said that "Happy Holidays" offends Christians.

Because there is a war on Christmas. Most any store I went to people said Happy Holidays. Christmas is a Christian holiday and yes, saying Happy Holidays offends many Christians. I know because I have heard the complaints. I am agnostic but I think it is ignorant that Christmas is being attacked. Just leave it the way it is.

If saying Merry Christmas offends someone they need to get their heads checked.

Good question. I don't really know. But I do know that O'Reilly likes to use a vibrator on himself when he's jerking off talking on the phone harassing women. That's really the only point I was trying to convey.

My name isn't Clete Torres... sorry.

Anyway, the point I am getting at, why attack a guy that is trying to better a degrading society? He is wanting to get Jessica's law passed in all 50 states. He is trying to get judges and politicians out that have a hard time leading or punishing offenders. He is trying to let Christmas stay Christmas as well as various other things.

How many other talk show hosts are as adamant as he is?

Associated Press

New York — Love him or hate him, viewers will have the chance to debate Bill O'Reilly on his Fox News Channel talk show, “The O'Reilly Factor,” next month.

O'Reilly has announced the Great Factor Debate Contest, in which six winners will face off with the outspoken TV commentator on a topic of their choice.

“You want a piece of me?” O'Reilly said. “Would you like to sit on this set right here and let me have it? Of course you would. Well, now that can happen.”

He warned viewers to “be careful what you wish for.”

The segments will air Feb. 7-8, Feb. 14-15 and Feb. 21-22.

All due respect but I believe you're mistaken by this man.
It's EGO plain and simple.
If he wanted to "better society" I could give him a list 50 feet long of things that help society without being a TV talking head.

See..everywhere he goes there are hangers on and wannabes telling him how great he is.....the true hero is serving in his nations military....or a police officer...or a doctor for the poor...or a volunteer for children.

NOT saying what most people already know on TV.
Sheeeesh....LOL

Again...all due respect dude. ;)

That's ok, but why I personally think you are wrong:

That is not what I get when I watch it. An egotistical person doesn't admit when he's wrong i.e. Limbaugh. O'Reilly has.

And if we're talking heros, let's look at our parents first. Just too bad many parents nowadays forget what parenting is. I see it every day at the jail...

Anyway, people that think he is wrong, hey, there's your chance! If you can get in or not, at least you can say you tried.

Hey, I know I tried getting on the BBC page when they were asking Hugo Chavez open questions from the public several months ago.. too bad hey never aired my question. And yes, it was respectful :)

Well...first point is off....
Human psychology is simple. I admit I have a wacked ego somewhat...and an EASY card for me to play is the humble "I was wrong" card and it's amazing...people will forgive anything when I do that. He's using that same tactic. Very old trick IMO. Limbaugh doesnt do it because he's not as smart as O'Reilly.

Second point...you're absolutley correct.
Everything good about me is because of my father. He was the *coolest dude to walk this planet and instilled every value I have about me and is/was a hero.

*Sorry Mr Norris but dad came first ;)

No...lol
Doing it for effect is a tactic "some" use.
I say that because it's my exp that few people ever admit wrong....it's the Great American Past Time to "pass the buck"

Yes..human psychology is very simple. I'm not talking textbook mumbo jumbo...I'm speaking of everyday real life. Human behavior for some people is easy to predict and even manipulate.

Not trying to sound pretentious....just honest.
