I think our ramblings have become tiresome. Its time to start changing things a bit, otherwise we will just keep on getting banned temporarily, then come back, and here we go again.

So what is it going to be? Stop posting topics about our countries or remove our heads from our sphincters and take it easy?

I am all ears to your propositions/suggestions.

Cheers

man I love the Turkish - Greek songs performed as a duet by both nations’ singers (specially that Mustafa Sandal album with the Greek singer is very popular in Iran)... you guys should adapt the same strategy in your politics..

Just four words and a comma: No insults, no trolling

When I say insult, I don't mean necessarily using bad words.

I had no intentions to reply in this thread, but here it goes.

Below quote is from the other thread (http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/showthread.php?t=69339)

I will circumvent your decent, yet failed, attempt to be funny and a total smartass and prompt you to this thread:
http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/showthread.php?t=69784
I accept your invitation after some consideration, mainly because you are banned and not able to reply straight away. I don't want you to take offense to anything i write here, as none intended. If you feel you are offended, please re-read with a non-subjective approach.

The reason i didn't want to reply here is because i don't think you are geniune. After starting this thread, you still had a go in the other thread, why is that...? The interested parties can read that thread and make their own minds up, so let that one retire.

I had been reading these forums for a short while before i joined. From what i read, i noticed that you and some others had an agenda with Turkish people. After joining, i searched your post histories which further confirmed this. Maybe you don't realize, but your contempt for Turkish people are rather obvious. You may say this is paranoia on my behalf, but the evidence is there in my very short post history. It will not take anybody long to read my contribution so far and see the replies to them.

You accused me of being many things, most notably a smartass, but what you fail to notice so far is that, the manner i write in, is very similar to yours. I can be very good at insults and really get under your skin, all staying under the radar while doing it. Just like you have been for a long time.

After that is out of the way, let's get on with it. The following goes for both parties, just rotate words Turk and Greek to suit.
Do not feel obligated to join a thread just because it contains the words Turks and/or Turkish.
Do not feel obligated to criticize us in every single opportunity you get.
Do not have the need to refer to us in a thread that is not about us.
We are the same in many ways but also in opposite camps when it comes to certain issues. These issues can not be discussed in a public forum without sh1t hitting the fan, so do not participate unless you can take the same approach Greek soldier has, as linked here. (http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/showpost.php?p=1420413&postcount=61)
I made a very valid point in the other thread when i said : If you joined the thread offering a bit of caution to your country-man and helping him to show some decency, you would've earned some respect. This is the key to our good future relations. Do not support someone in a thread just because he is a Greek. If you want to go a step further, let him know when he is crossing the line and tell him to cease.

I can add some more, but all of them, including the ones above, require nothing but common sense. The answers are very simple but extremely hard to adhere to at the same time. If you are really willing to have a go at it, we welcome it.

BUT, there is always a but, the disappointing thing is that, not a single Greek member contributed in this thread so far. Do you see us as the guilty party and direct this thread solely to us...? It is a two way street fellas, so get your heads out of your sphincters and commit to this thing !!!

If you disagree with anything i said, let it be known. It shouldn't be very hard.

Beykoz, I agree with what you are saying.

But some Turkish members here need to respect some things too, for instance

http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/showthread.php?t=66771&highlight=Turkish+landing

1974: some Pics from the Turkish landing in Cyprus

The United Nations and the whole world are describing it as "invasion".

I know that for some "no, this is not right" or for others "F**** off, this is right".

Just respect AND don't discuss political situations (unless we are allowed by the moderators :) )

Look mate, i don't think Scyth meant anything shifty by titling the thread as he did. I honestly think you are reading too much into that.

If you read the captions under some of the pictures, you will read the following :

Map showing main action during the Turkish invasion of Cyprus, in 1974.

The helicopters of the Turkish Army contributed considerably to the final Turkish success of the invasion.

Surely, if he meant any malice, he wouldn't have used the "i" word you want us to recognize. I have no problems with using the word 'invasion' instead of 'landing'. As always, there are two sides to the story and if you don't push your side in these forums, neither will we.

It was a thread solely asking for pictures.

It was also a thread no Turk other than Scyth contributed, even though he had to deal with 7 of you.

So, if you try and look at it nonsubjectively, you may not see any problems with it.

Finally, I thank you for your contribution and welcome any others. Unless these issues are talked about, the defining boundaries can not be established.;)

Thanks Beykoz for your clarifications.

If you call the Allied Landing in Normandy a "Landing", I don't see why I can't call the Turkish Peace Operation of 1974 a "Landing" too. We actually "landed" there from the sea right? It was naval operation first and foremost.

You can disagree with it though. Just don't insult our intelligence when you post diverging views.

Well in the long run a "landing" or a "Invasion" still have to the same principle, did Turkish Forces "Force" themseleves on the island? the Allies forces "FORCED" themselves on the Beaches on Normanday
