Rammstein...crazy German f***
Eeeeh?!?
We used "Du Hast Mich" as a wake up call when I was going to Kosovo.
It is hard to describe the feeling of their music, but I'll try:
It is very agressive, so if you are in a "strange" mood, the sensation get's better. ;)
If you want to get agressive, play "Du Hast Mich", always work. ;)
"Bestrhafe Mich", say no more. ( nudge nudge, wink wink.)
Our Press and Information Officer at BAF went ballistic when we used "Du Hast Mich" as a wake up call at BAF. Never seen any person react so quickly at 4 o' clock in the morning. He flipped out totally. So the music works. Hehe...

ahhh The Clash.... brings back a few memories as well..... GoB is excellent.... throw in Rock the Casbah, so I can relive some old memories, and I'll sit in the corner with you, gaz.... :)
We'll have to burn our favourites onto one CD and just play that - Guns of Brixton, Rock the Casbah, Clash City Rockers, Train in Vain, White Riot, Rudie can't fail, I Fought the Law.... Actually, it'd probably be easier to get a ten CD changer and just put all their albums on random play....
I'll bet there are loads of people under the age of twenty right now reading this and trying to figure out who the Clash are, mind you, I know fifteen year olds who think Punk music is Avril Lavigne and Good Charlotte. OK all you Clash fans, something I've always wondered: What the hell does 'Train in Vain' mean?
I love that song but have no idea what the title means.
Well, that's a very difficult question to answer. First you have to look at the rebellious nature of the song, then you have to bear in mind that when it was released in 1979 there was a surfeit of antidisestablishmentaeranism in the media, this led to an abundance of people with ideas concordant to their natures and... erm....
No.
Haven't got a clue.

Here ya go hank:
Now the king told the boogie men
You have to let that raga drop
The oil down the desert way
Has been shakin' to the top
The sheik he drove his Cadillac
He went a' cruisin' down the ville
The muezzin was a' standing
On the radiator grille
[Chorus]
The shareef don't like it
Rockin' the Casbah
Rock the Casbah
The shareef don't like it
Rockin' the Casbah
Rock the Casbah
By order of the prophet
We ban that boogie sound
Degenerate the faithful
With that crazy Casbah sound
But the Bedouin they brought out
The electric camel drum
The local guitar picker
Got his guitar picking thumb
As soon as the shareef
Had cleared the square
They began to wail
[Chorus]
Now over at the temple
Oh! They really pack 'em in
The in crowd say it's cool
To dig this chanting thing
But as the wind changed direction
The temple band took five
The crowd caught a wiff
Of that crazy Casbah jive
[Chorus]
The king called up his jet fighters
He said you better earn your pay
Drop your bombs between the minarets
Down the Casbah way
As soon as the shareef was
Chauffeured outta there
The jet pilots tuned to
The cockpit radio blare
As soon as the shareef was
Outta their hair
The jet pilots wailed
[Chorus]
He thinks it's not kosher
Fundamentally he can't take it.
You know he really hates it.
:D
shareef - so that is who did not like it - now I'll be the coolest when I sing it right!

You know that Waylon Jennings was BH's bass player on that tour and was supposed to fly on that plane. On the tarmac b/f it left Waylon agreed to let Richie Valens (sp?) fly in his place, then about 20 seconds later all died in a plane crash. Saw an interview with Waylon once and he couldn't talk about it without crying. Pretty freaky.
