Christ, I could barely drive across Iowa, how the hell does anyone ride all the way across?

She just wants to see me in tight bike shorts. I have a buddy that does it every year. Says it's an absolute blast.

That's it, Joe.... you always catch on to my diabolical plots. ;)
I've never ridden RAGBRAI, but I've been in on some of the parties along the way. They've stopped in my hometown a few times. Talk about a good time. :)

From what I read.... this would be a good year for beginners. The route isn't supposed to be too difficult compared to years past. The over night stops are a lot of fun as well. People from every state and a lot of other countries come every year. :)

My buddy is from Iowa. They have a bus follow them. Lots of cycling and lots of drinking.
I've done a couple of those too Hank, Maryland May Metric and the Amish Hundred. Good time but not a party like RAGBRAI is supposed to be.

Definately a party.... some people who should be arrested for wearing spandex.... and some who choose to wear nothing at all.
The Amish Hundred??? That sounds like a regular orgy, Yoder. ;)

Lots of Amish around here too.... maybe we could get some of them together. That would be interesting. Sort of a semi modern West Side Story.... ;)
I look nothing like Barbra Streisand.....

farmgirl,
Is there a place for me to stay if I go to Iowa for say...2 days?
Christ, I could barely drive across Iowa, how the hell does anyone ride all the way across?
Not in one day ;)
Actually it looks pretty easy to me. The 'longest' day is 84.2 miles... 135 km. Should be doable for everyone.
