View Full Version : pounding my head in frustration
i was looking through myspace this morning, looking for long lost friends...and realtives who are on the myspace with me. i stumbled across someone who means a great deal to me who openly admitted on the site to be a switch hitter. this upsets me a little bit because this person has been going through and ordeal with some other friends of mine and problems keep getting worse, before they are getting better. i though tmaybe i had had this figured out but now im at a loss of words. this upsets me, i know there is nothing i can do for the friend, in order to change his or her mind but i will have to deal with the fact that: that person is the way they are. i guess all i want is this person to be be more honest with hir or her friends and learn that they are not trying to intrude on that person's business but find a common ground that they can relate to. i honestly am at a loss of words, i swear i feel so bad right now whether to tell my friends or not to because i dont know if they know. i dont know, i just dont know............

I have gay friends. And its weird finding it out. but thgeres nothing wrong with them being gay. It can be frustrating if they don't come out of the closet about it, but its not your decision. Its the individuals.
yeah.....**** man, i should have known

A good way of telling if your buddy is gay is too look up his arse of down his throat. If there is a **** in them, chances are he is gay.

Okay, so I'm reading this exchange and I'm thinking, "wow, Zonk's got a lot on his mind." Then I see that Evan's got a reply and I'm thinking, "Oh Sh*t, poor Zonk". And then I see that's Evan's given Zonk some cool advice and I'm like, "wow, good for Zonk and Evan." And then I see Evan's last reply and I'm like, "Oy Vay! Dude!."
Zonk, let your friend decide whether to come out or not. Or maybe ask this person if you can do anything positive to help. Discretion is prob. the best course of action at this point.

The site makes me bi-polar with my responses. Beer doesn't help either.
Like BoyElroy said I think you should let him decide. I'm not in your shoes but I would consider this as a dilemma.
I don't envy your position.
situation not any better, i am trying to decide whether or not to tell my friends right now. i am so torn right now and its hurting me think about the right thing to do. i fear for this friends safety if it is left up but also want to respect their privacy by not revealing it to others. lord knows this has been a long battle and will go on for a while

Tell your friends. He posted it on a website for the whole world to see, so I wouldn't feel guilty. It's not like you caught him doing something in private.

Zonk's friend already decided to tell everyone he was gay when he created the website. People in Mongolia now know that this guy is gay, don't you think Zonk and his friends deserve to know?
Hell we at MP.NET know...
By the way Zonk, your friends name isn't Kendo is it?

I have a couple gay friends from highschool and the only one that I have a problem with is the one who uses his ******ity as an excuse. Kind of like "you can't say that cause I'm gay" sort of thing. That pisses me off.
As a matter of interest, why do you think the friends need to know?

wondering the same.
i say let them find out on their own. it's not your job to tell anyone.

If it hasn't mattered so far why would it matter in the future? A friend is a friend. Who cares who they're ****ing.

i only have one friend who i knew before he came out, but when he did, i wasnt surprised at all, so i guess it didnt really have an impact.. i have two other gay friends and all 3 were friends with my gf before i knew them.. so now we just hit on eachother in front of her to make her feel uncomfortable

Yeh I used to do that with my ex's best friend who was gay. I would smack his ass in public and he would get all giddy like a schoolgirl.

He's gay....so what? Maybe it's just my New York personality, but I really don't see a problem here.

Look at the bright side, if you ever go hiking with him and get bit in the nuts by a poisonous snake you're in good shape.

All you guys got loads of gay friends. I never had one ..friend that is. :(
Anyways. If he's your friend, you say you care a great deal about him, then you'd be some great friend revealing his something he's chosen to keep private from you. If you can't put it behind you, tell him in private and confidentially how you discovered. It's his decision to come out, he kept it to himself because he's not ready yet to go public and because he's afraid his friends and family will disown him. Basically he keeps this secret because he cherris your guys friendship.
So how good a friend is he? What weighs most to you: His integrety or your right to know every aspect of his private ******ity?
