I just don't think we see images like this enough. They give so much and the least we can do is spread stuff like this to counter the all negative. Being a USAF Iraq vet myself, I realize the story back home isn’t quite the truth.

i dunno about that, i was up in samarra last year and there wasnt nearly as much smiling when we rolled around town to be honest with you. then again, samarra wasnt exactly in that stage of rebuilding yet, was still in a bit of a combat phase... good slideshow though
