View Full Version : Going to Vegas Sun-Wed.

ENSIGN FOREVER
02-02-2006, 03:06 PM
I'm going to Las Vegas from this Sun to Wed. I ain't been there in about 12 years so I'm totally clueless as to what's up in the town.

I need help/advice/ideas.

So far I have planned one night:

-Take the wife to dinner;
-Get her drunk (that's pretty easy she's a total lightweight);
-Get me partially drunk;
-In our drunken status we're going to the "Graceland Chapel of Love" to have our vows renewed by an Elvis impersonator;
-If the wife is still drunk I'm taking her to the SPEARMINT RHINO and getting her a lap dance (and having a pic taken of the dance)

I need ideas for 3 more days (yes I'm going to Hoover Dam).

the WYNN Hotel is amazing. We saw shops where they were selling shoes for 12,000 dollars, watches for 800,000++, and more

Go to the Gun Store. It's a few blocks away from the MGM, expensive, but you can shoot some cool stuff. There's even a $5.00 off coupon on their website.

Nice, is there an age limit? Doesn't say anything about that on the site.

I walked in and asked them what they needed (I'm from NY and the idea of walking into a store and shooting machine guns is a alien concept)

The only thing they said they needed was a drivers license and a credit card for the guns and ammo. I'd say you'd only need to be 18, I remember seeing people there who were about that age and hell there was some 60 year old lady there from Scotland blasting away at a target of BinLaden. So all types of people go there.

That's pretty awesome, though not for me if there's an age limit of 18. Are there any other stores in the US that you know that have a lower age limit? There was this one gun store I went to in Gold Coast, Australia and I think you only had to be 12. Oh well, different countries, different rules.

It depends on the state I believe. For Georgia to shot at a range you have to be 18 too shoot long guns and purchase long guns and you have to be 21 too shoot or buy pistols and also 21 to rent the class III weapons. IF you are under 21 but have a friend who is over 21 doesn’t have to be family and they let you shoot with them then you can there just has to be some one who’s 21 to do the class II and the pistols. That is at the range I go too though I am not up on all the gun laws though but there is an exception, the Gwinnett Practical Shooting league which is part of IPSC. They let me shoot in comp and I am 19 there were some younger kids but they had parents or some one older that came with them. The range didn't care because they paid to rent out the range so there fore it full filled the 21 thing but its a lot more fun you just have to be safety conciseness because if you **** around you will be out luckily every time I've gone its been good. For people who have one in there are I recommend it, it’s a load of fun you get to meet cool people and you get to actually move and shoot and do different scenarios beats sitting in a lane just shooting straight down the lane.

Edit- sorry for semi hijacking your thread Ensign, I hope you and your wife have a wonderful time in Las Vegas I have no recommendations because I have never been there.

Thanks Karma. Why do you have to be 21 to shoot pistols but only 18 to shoot rifles? What's the mentality behind that?

Screw the hoover damn. Stay at the Venetian - tell them you are there on a honeymoon (if it is your first time there) or you are there renewing your vows. They will give you a great price suite but a crap view, however if you care about the veiw, you know nothing about Vegas. Rooms are for *** and 5 hours sleep and to store clothing.

Go see "Cirque de Sole" "O" at the Bellagio is amazing in a theater build specifically for the show. "Mystere" is at the Treasure Island (right across from the Venetian.) The newest show is "KA" at MGM.

Call now and get tickets - don't hesitate to call you hotel NOW for ticket assistance, just be honest about your price range.

Zumanity is at NY-NY but I have never seen it.

Go online and check the different casino's intertainment.

Here here -- though gambling for 36 hours straight is a great way to pass the time.

I don't know you can shoot a pistol as long as there is a 21 year old with you who signed for the both of you too shoot. It just relates to the fact you have to be 21 to purchase a handgun and only 18 to by a rifle.
