I guess a husband called up a DJ over the radio and wanted to play a prank on his wife. So, the DJ called up the wife and pretended to be her husbands boss and informed her that the husband was laid off.

The couple just had bought a house and had a baby, btw.

I was told by a buddy of mine today who actually heard that on the radio when it happened that in the aftermath of the prank there was a nasty divorce and the husband has not talked to his brother ever since then. And supposedly that joke was a few years ago.
