The Italian government has been very supportive of the war on terror.

Italian forces have been deployed in Afghanistan for awhile now. The Alpini and Army SF 'Col Moschin' are there and, rumor has it, at least one COMSUBIN operator was 'feet dry'.

They will also be deploying to Iraq as a part of the stabilization force.
