This is a pretty interesting slide show talking about an operation done by the Israelis that prevented Iraq from acheiving nuclear weapons. If it wasn't for this operation the United States and other nations fighting Iraq in 1991 probably would have faced an Iraq with nuclear weapons.

Having an alternative to oil makes as much sense for Iraq as it does for any other country in the world.

BTW the attacks went ahead and did pretty much FA. It delayed his nuclear programs, yes, but accelerated and drove underground all his other weapons programs like chem and bio weapons. The attack was also a catalyst for all other Arab countries and Iran to look into such weapon programs... if Israel fears such weapons so much then they must be worth having. As Israel has rather more of such weapons than all its neighbours combined then why not?

This isn't true if you've been paying attention to current events you would know that Iran is trying to build a nuclear powerplant. As soon as they do they will be able to make nuclear weapons and that won't take too long. The Arab countries may not have nukes yet but they have biological and chemcial weapons.

Israel has had nuclear weapons for about 40 years if there such barbarians as you say why haven't they used them yet????

Yes, that's an F-16 on the loading screen. Both F-16 Falcons and F-15 Eagles were used in the attack--I don't know the exact models though.
