The US military announced on Friday that two American Marines were killed a day earlier after their patrol was attacked by a roadside bomb near the one-time insurgent stronghold of Fallujah, 65km west of Baghdad.

RIP Marines. :(

the car bomb that blew up in baghdad was only 10 yards from a mosque and most of the iraqis killed or wounded were worshippers, it sickens me that these extremists dont even care about their own people, theyve just been brainwashed so all they wanna do is kill innocent people and cause havoc

It's been almost a hundred years since the beginning of the car, and we are still losing 55,000 a year to car accidents.

It's civil war. The attackers are Sunni. The Iraqis who died are Shias. Bomb attacks against civilians and mosques are never random. Sunnis target Shias and vice versa. The Sunnis don't consider the Shias as "their own people". The Iraqi army, or whatever you call it, is also made up of mostly Shia or Kurdish men. That's why it's attacked so often too. So their aim, besides "causing havoc", is to obliterate or frighten "the enemy" into submission.

No, that will lead to cracks in the chassis, the transmission will break down, the Brakes wont work properly, the balance is changed so it will tend to roll over, the wheel suspension will break...

Its not that easy, otherwise they would do it.

trust me we are doing everything we can to make us safer over here, we have all kinds of new jimmy rigged stuff to try and combat and new ied or something out but it isnt as easy as people think. we are still having serious difficulties

Exactly, i know this OMON... he started talking to me on MSN and the first thing he said was ''DEATH TO AMERICA'' .........and he even meant it... also thinks that 9/11 is a conspiracy by the government..:roll:

You don't know me at all, my point is that the humvee's dont give enough protection against IED and thats a fact

Fair fight? since when is war ever "fair"? Hell, fighting war unfairly is the best way to win it! Why dont we just throw down our guns and fight hand to hand to the death, thats fair. How is an IED any less fair than say a computer guided bomb dropped from an untouchable aircraft?

Two wrongs dont make a right. Two sets of preventable deaths does not make the other better. Just because 55,000 die in car accidents does not give the right for 2,000 people to die in Iraq...
