Do you think we will soon or later see war movies about OIF , movies that would be as much successful as BHD ?

Definitely, can you name one war involving americans that Hollywood hasn't made a film of? I can't...

...I can already see it; Milla Jovovich or some other Hollywood Hottie as a Delta fighting Iraq all by herself, Matrix-kicking republican guards left and right. John Rhys Davies will play Usama. Clint Eastwood will play her C.O which gives her a hard time because of her use of unorthodox methods but secretly admire her and always backs her up against the brass...oh, and Danny DeVito will be Saddam...

Sure there will probably be some movies about Iraq or A-stan, but will they be any good? How much truth will be in them? Or will it be sugar coated n full of ****? Will the Veterans respect these movies?

Theres only been a few great war movies in my time. The best one so far has to be Platoon, its the most accurate because A: the person directing the film was actually involved in the war B: they made the actors go threw "boot camp" and move all the equipment and movie lights and everything themselves...the bunkers...they dug them themselves...ect ect
When someone "died" he was immediately removed from the "set"...

All in all, any movie they release will probably in the end be junk, or pure one sided hollywood bias and totally disrespect the veterans.

Well if your gonna go there then the best war movie by far would be "In the Army Now"

I didnt like Thin Red line, it was on this morning too. It was almost to artsy influenced. pissed me off that they didnt show any gore or anything. arms getting blown off was part of war, the ****ing parentel lock must have been stuck on for the fliming of that one.

Yes...

And the movie would have been even better if the actors had spoken Russian.
