anyone watching (or been watching) the Top Gear special on BBC2 about now?
Clarkson has a go with an MP5 (once he's figured out how to get the rear seats down, with some thanks to a mobile phone and his wife), and can't hit sh*t!

This is a Winter Olympics Special, and to clarify, it was an MP5 Submachine gun. :)

I just got off work and watched them fire the mini cooper off the skijump and then the ending, I desperately hope someone uploads this episode :(

edit: I remeber now thanks to imdb it was "Inventions that changed the world" and it was the bit on machine guns/assault rifles

He was funny on full auto with the mp5, obvious he wasnt going to hit nothing.

The rocket mini was just superb, and it wasnt a cgi.

Did the stig really go down the ski jump on a skidoo though?

anyone see Jeremy Clarkson fire an AK47 at a white van? he claimed that every round he fired in automatic missed it's target... i have a feeling he was using blanksp-)

He obviously was, but the point was well made :)


The MP5 bit was hilarious, especially when he let trip on automatic and hit....nothing. Then....that tree falls down. I was in stitches.

I just finished watching Jeremy and James May racing part, instead of using the "Olympic standard" bird rifle jeremy took out his MP5 and gone full auto!! First stop none of the targets were hit, second stop still no hit but he managed to "shot down" a tree behind the target zone, hmmm must be those 9mm depleted Uranium bullets....rofl rofl

The feud between two of them started some years back way before British Army pics in Iraq. Clarkson eventually punched Piers Morgan because Morgan's newspaper published a picture of Jeremy and a woman who was not his wife.

It's awesome!!! But the fuel used in the C1 cold test must have been a regular summer diesel as we have here diesels which work normally in temperatures like -22 to -30 centigrade.

EDIT:
And yes BBC is the best piece of TV in the world I know about.

Jeremy Clarkson does an hour long documentary on guns, aswell as other 'inventions that changed the world' also - It's brilliant.
